Some  unique experiences we've found for clients in recent years include: 

Getting an up-close view of the frescoes inside the Brancacci Chapel while restoration is underway. Small groups (limit of 8) are allowed up on the scaffolding to see the artwork that actually predates the Renaissance from meters away. Much closer than from the floor fifty feet below!
